Green Hill volleyball defeated Station Camp to win the District 12-AAA tournament championship Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Portland High School.

The Hawks took the first set 25-22 in a back-and-forth opener, then pulled away in the second set 25-16 to seize control. Green Hill claimed its third district title in four years, according to the Green Hill Sports Network on X.

The championship capped a dominant day for seventh-year head coach Michelle Plummer's squad. Green Hill entered the tournament as the No. 1 seed with a first-round bye, then dismantled Hendersonville 25-18, 25-15, 25-20 in the semifinal earlier Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Julia Cleveland sparked the semifinal rout. Green Hill opened the second set on a 12-1 run with Cleveland serving, turning a competitive match into a blowout.

The title match carried extra weight. Green Hill and Station Camp split their two regular-season meetings, making the championship their third matchup of 2026. The Hawks settled the rubber match decisively.

Green Hill's run extends a stretch of postseason dominance. The Hawks have now reached the district championship match five consecutive years, winning three of the last four titles.

The roster features returning all-county standouts Cleveland, Maddie Long and senior middle hitter Tatum Crouch, who took on expanded back-row duties this season. Seniors Amelia Parker and Ainsley Booher run the two-setter offense, while Emma Savage and Jill Hunter share libero responsibilities, Main Street Media reported in a September profile of the retooled lineup.

"I think they know that it feels like to win, which sometimes is a huge advantage … They've had that experience the last two, three, four years," Plummer told Main Street Media in September, when the Hawks were building a 22-match district winning streak. "So it feels like they know what they need to do to ultimately win has helped them out."

The Hawks advance to the TSSAA Region 6-AAA tournament. Dates and opponents had not been announced as of Wednesday, Oct. 7.
