Longhorn Steakhouse on Pleasant Grove Road posted the lowest food safety score among Mt. Juliet restaurants in the latest round of Wilson County health inspections.

The steakhouse scored a 92 during an Oct. 15 routine inspection, according to Wilson County Source reporter Michael Carpenter, who published the full results Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Inspectors cited four violations, including Caesar dressing and feta cheese holding at 45°F in a salad cooler whose lids had been left open, according to a companion report on the cycle's lowest scores. Staff closed the lids, iced down the food and scheduled a repair visit for the next morning. Inspectors also noted pans stacked wet, a severely grooved cutting board and standing water in the dish area. A follow-up inspection is required.
