Families can trick-or-treat around fire trucks, ambulances and police vehicles at a free First Responders Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Breeden's Orchard in Mt. Juliet.
Wilson County Professional Firefighters Association Local 4238 and Breeden's Orchard are co-hosting the event from 4 to 9 p.m. at 631 Beckwith Rd., according to the association's Facebook page. Visitors can see emergency apparatus from agencies across Wilson County, grab candy, hear live music and meet local fire, EMS, law enforcement and emergency communications teams. Costumes are encouraged.
A sensory-friendly hour runs from 4 to 5 p.m. for children who benefit from a quieter, lower-stimulation setting.
Satellite parking will be available at West Elementary School, with free shuttle buses running continuously to the orchard throughout the evening.
