A free screening of "Hook" closes Mt. Juliet's 2026 Movie in the Park series on Friday, Oct. 2, at Charlie Daniels Park.
The film starts at dusk, around 6:55 p.m., according to Wilson County Source. October sunsets arrive earlier than the summer screenings, so the show gets rolling before 7 p.m., MtJuliet.com noted in its weekly roundup. Organizers are telling families to show up around sunset to claim a spot before the projector fires up.
Charlie Daniels Park is at 1075 Charlie Daniels Pkwy, Mount Juliet, TN 37122. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and bug spray. Concessions will be available for purchase.
The screening is the last of the 2026 outdoor movie season. No 2027 schedule has been announced as of Oct. 1.
One thing to watch: a weather post from community outlet Vybes on Thursday, Oct. 1, flagged afternoon storms that could linger into the evening. Families heading out Friday should check the radar before loading the car.
@LocalVybes: "Friday is the last Movie in the Park of 2026. It's Hook, 6:55 at Charlie Daniels Park, free. Storms are likely in the afternoon and could hang around, so check the radar before you load the chairs."
Vice Mayor Bill Trivett encouraged residents to take advantage of the outdoor movie series during the Aug. 10 Board of Commissioners meeting, calling on neighbors "to take advantage of Movie Night at Charlie Daniels Park" as the summer wound down. The Oct. 2 screening is the final chance to catch the series before it wraps for the year.
The event is listed on the city's Parks and Recreation calendar. For questions, residents can call Mt. Juliet Parks and Recreation at (615) 758-6522.
