Mt. Juliet Parks & Recreation will hold its annual Halloween in the Park on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Charlie Daniels Park.
The free event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park, located at 1075 Charlie Daniels Pkwy. It is listed on the city's events calendar and open to the public.
Community events site MtJuliet.com lists planned activities including hay rides, pony rides, a trackless train, inflatables, games, prizes and costume contests organized by age division.
Costume contest judging is scheduled to begin around 11:30 a.m. with a pets division, according to MtJuliet.com. Age groups follow: under 1, 1–2 years and 3–4 years and up. Contest times are approximate, and the site advises families to arrive early to make sure they don't miss their division.
Mt. Juliet Police Chief Tyler Chandler praised the event's turnout in an Oct. 18, 2025, post on X, noting the role police volunteers played in keeping the day running smoothly.
@tylerjchandler: "Our Parks Department put together another fantastic Halloween in the Park event, and it was great to see so many families out enjoying the day."
Chandler also thanked Mt. Juliet Police Department youth Cadets, Community Police Academy volunteers, community service officers and police officers who helped staff the October 2025 event.
Halloween in the Park falls on the same day as Trunk or Treat at Breeden's Orchard, according to a fall events roundup on MtJuliet.com.
