Mt. Juliet police officers showed off department equipment and handed out candy, bracelets and stickers to children at a Touch-A-Truck event at West Wilson Middle School.
The Mt. Juliet Police Department said on its official X account that officers enjoyed connecting with students and families at the event. The department shared photos from the morning.
The appearance follows other recent MJPD outreach efforts. The department announced earlier in October that it is moving its Coffee with a Cop gatherings to evening hours, as we reported Oct. 15.
The MJPD is also set to take part in a Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, Oct. 24, alongside other Mt. Juliet first responders, as we reported Oct. 16.
